Dr. Mia Coleman-Baker
School Administration Manager
Each coach works with approximately 24 teachers and visits them each in their classroom twice a month. They also work with their PLC's twice a month. The coaches then meet with each teacher individually to reflect on strategies that could improve the teacher's instruction.
At the PLC level, they suggest strategies that were observed in rounds and assist the group with curriculum development, lesson planning, and discuss and track student achievement data with the team.
Coaches also plan and prepare professional development for the entire staff, and at other times, for a PLC based on their needs as observed during classroom rounds.
Coaches meet weekly with each other to collaborate on coaching strategies and also with the administrative team to conduct case studies and follow-up plans.
