Research concludes over and over again that, when schools, families, and community groups work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer, and like school more. We therefore encourage all parents to become involved at South Seminole Middle School. Parents are essential to their children’s education.
Whether it be helping with homework or volunteering at school, the impact of your involvement is critical to our school as well as your own student's success. Please call the school today to find out how you can get involved.

Remind 101

Remind 101 is an additional tool of communication added to continually improve communication between school and parent. Remind 101 allows you (parent\guardian) to receive text text messages from the school for quick updates and announcements. We respect the busy schedules you have and sometimes a simple text is all you need to stay connected. Getting connected takes about 2-3 minutes. Click here to see attached flyer on how to sign up for this service.

Quality Point Gradebook

In an effort to allow our Middle School students more opportunities to be successful, the district has been transitioning to a “Quality Points” grading scale as opposed to the percentages you’ve been familiar with in the past. This is an evolving process that is still being adjusted and tweaked. Please know, that this new system will not negatively impact students' grades in any way. In fact, the reverse is true, as this new system will improve them. Please refer to the documents below for additional information.
